#SPC09 Was a great event with great people and great stuff. In this post I’d like to give a short summary about that week, about the conference from my perspective. Yes, about my SPC09.
I’ve arrived to Las Vegas on Friday before the conf, so I had a chance to make an awesome tour to the Grand Canyon with Toni Frankola on Sat. That was a huge Wow! even I had a “little” issue with my camera (I’ve ordered a new lens but didn’t received that by that morning so I had to use my old one that is good but not as cool as the new one).
This tour was a phenomenal experience as well as a good “medicine” for jetlag, as we have 9 hours time diff to Las Vegas. As I was walking around the West Rim all day, the jetlag had no chance to down me. Instead of thinking about jetlag, we had a lot of useful talking with Toni, collected a lot of experiences and buzz around the West Rim. After that, I had to work a few hours on Sunday, but after that I was walking over the Strip in Las Vegas all afternoon till SharePint. How can I say?… Vegas is a crazy place, but you have to see it at least once in your life.
After this great weekend, the huge SPC09 started on Monday morning, with Steve Ballmer and Jeff Taper’s keynote.

During the conference I was attending very valuable sessions, so here’s time to say thank you for everyone getting together this conference! Also, I met a lot of people known from twitter or blogosphere but never seen before, eg. Michael Gannotti, Dux Raymond, a lot of people from twitter (@tonifrankola, @beckybertram, @wonderlaura, @eusp, etc.), fellow friends and MVPs, Microsoft guys, … Unbelievable, numberless people on my list.
Besides the sessions and meetings, I had a presentation at Colligo’s Executive Luncheon. As you probably know, I’m a fan of the Contributor, and I was one of the speakers invited to this lunchtime event. My presentation was about the benefits of Outlook Attachment Handler and the File Manager. This was a great event too, thanks for Colligo!
On the same night, everybody was attending the SPC09 Beach Party with a concert of Huey Lewis and the News.
But my SPC09 was much more than these pics can show you. It was not only a collection of great sessions, great people, great events… You know, sometimes one plus one is more than two. This conference was much more. Thanks again for all, guys!
