Developing AR video games presents both challenges and exciting opportunities. On the one hand, it is necessary to have specialized technical knowledge in AR and compatible development software. In addition, aspects such as designing experiences that work well in real physical environments, optimizing performance for mobile devices, and integrating with the hardware capabilities of smartphones and tablets must be considered. However, the benefits of developing AR video games are considerable. AR allows the creation of games that interact with the player's environment in an innovative way, which opens up a range of possibilities for game design. In addition, AR can take advantage of the player's location to create location-based experiences and multiplayer games that encourage social interaction. Key points to consider for an augmented reality video game: 1. Concept and design: A) Original and attractive idea: The game must have a unique proposal that differentiates it from other titles and takes full advantage of the possibilities of AR. B) Solid game mechanics: The gameplay must be fun, challenging, and adapted to the characteristics of AR. C) User-centered design: The interface and controls must be intuitive and easy to use, even for players unfamiliar with AR. 2. Technology and development: A) Choosing the right engine and tools: There are various development engines and specialized tools for creating AR games. It is important to select the options that best suit the project and the skills of the development team. B) Performance optimization: AR games must run smoothly on mobile devices, so it is crucial to optimize graphics performance and resource usage. C) Integration with the AR platform: The game must integrate correctly with the chosen AR platform, be it ARKit (iOS) or ARCore (Android). 3. Gaming experience: A) Interaction with the real environment: The game should take advantage of AR capabilities to create meaningful interaction with the player's real environment. B) Variety of experiences: Different types of experiences can be incorporated, such as exploration games, puzzles, combat, etc. C) Space and safety considerations: It is important to design the game taking into account the physical space in which it will be played and to ensure the safety of the players. 4. Monetization and business model: A) Viable business model: The game must have a sustainable business model that generates revenue, either through microtransactions, in-game purchases, or advertising. B) Effective marketing strategy: It is necessary to develop an appropriate marketing strategy to make the game known and attract an audience of players. Our v1.0 of multi-modality has landed in www.myninja.ai But because we have built an agentic orchestrator, it does more than just describing what it sees in the image. See the example below: you can ask it to find showtimes just based on a movie poster. You can also have it to estimate the amount of calories in a dish and help write a recipe to make the food healthier based on a photo, etc (soon you can also ask it to add to-do lists on your calendar by just uploading a photo of your tasks). This is all currently powered by NinjaLLM running on AWS Trainium and seamlessly leveraging models within Amazon Bedrock. Caveat: It's a bit slow at the moment, we are working on speeding it up and also the planner agent soon will have more "tools" to utilize. Lessons learned from the AU2024 General Session:   - Autodesk are investing a lot in Project Bernini - Introducing AI powered motion capture features as "Wonder Dynamics" for the M&E industry - AI Automation of animated models within Maya, labeling it “NeuroMotion Control” - Autodesk are training their AI foundation models over their users' aggregated data. - Autodesk are working on clear privacy policies and clear data collection agreements for every AI service. - Autodesk are introducing "Auto-constrain", an AI geometry constraining tool for manufacturing (not sure whether this will also be something introduced within Revit families, but it would be very exciting if it were) - AI Autodesk Assistant was mentioned with enthusiasm… - They have several plans for the AEC industry... nothing serious mentioned though. - Autodesk are official LA28 partners.   All of the above is great. On the downside, Autodesk also apparently "make up anything" as well, as plenty of non-AI, legacy automation processes have also been shown and labeled as "AI" throughout the session...

Just wanted to share a web-based 3D Paint tool that I'm working on. Early days, but first stable version up and running at - https://ooz3d.com Free to use. No registration etc. You can paint in 3D on the model, or 2D on the texture. In Color, Metal, AO/E, Roughness, and so on. A basic implementation of the PBR materials.
