Between 2006 and 2008, I was running a meetup series called “Architektura Forum” in Hungary. It was in many ways a pioneering event series focusing on agile methodologies, software architecture, and emerging technologies, before having such user groups, meetups, etc became common. It brought together industry leaders and enthusiasts for insightful discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions. Notable speakers outside Hungary included Eugenio Pace and Chad Hower (these are in English), and Laszlo Mero from Hungary, who shared their expertise and vision for the future of software development.
Recently, new videos from these events have been unearthed from some random archives, providing a valuable resource for those interested in the evolution of software architecture. These recordings offer a glimpse into the foundational ideas that continue to shape the industry today. And, I cannot miss mentioned Janos Szucs, who has been my partner in crime in many of these video recordings – thank you!
